How to play this Spear build?
Important
is not very beginner friendly. To get the most out of this build, you need good matchup knowledge and should understand when to swap abilities or commit to a fight.
Main Abilities
Use your first Q to build Spirit Spear Charges while slowing the enemy. Try to maintain 3 stacks whenever possible because they significantly increase your auto attack damage.
is your main W with this setup. Use it against enemies trying to kite or escape. It removes movement speed buffs, slows the target, reduces their damage, and gives you a large movement speed boost if you successfully purge a speed buff.
Build 3 Spirit Spear Charges before using whenever possible. Your E consumes all of your stacks, so using it at 3 stacks gives you the strongest burst while also knocking the enemy up briefly.
Off Hand
Use for faster auto attacks and shorter cooldowns.
relies heavily on auto attacks while your Spirit Spear Charges are active, so the extra attack speed fits the build very well.
Helmet
Use any Leather Hood with the first spell.
The shield gives you extra protection while restoring missing Energy, which becomes increasingly useful during longer fights.
Chest
Use and switch between and depending on the matchup.
is useful for resetting the fight, repositioning, or preparing a stronger next attack.
Use when you expect to brawl directly with the enemy. The extra resistances help against burst while the reflected damage punishes them for continuing to attack you.
Boots
Use .
is useful while roaming, but works especially well with during PvP. The instant dash helps you stay on top of enemies after removing their movement speed.
Food and Potions
Use for extra maximum health and lifesteal.
Carry as a swap when you need faster health regeneration outside combat.
Use Healing Potions for most fights. You can also carry an for ganking players around camps or escaping groups.
Cape
You can play without a cape to keep the cost and displayed average Item Power lower.
If you want to use one, gives you extra defense, adds more damage, reduces your potion cooldown, and is a more expensive defensive option for higher tier versions of the build.
