I Tested the Best Solo Fame Farms in Albion Online
Watch the full comparison with the actual runs, fame results and my ranking for each solo fame farming method.
Lethal Ancient Lands and Black Zone Open World roaming are my S Tier choices. Open World gave me the highest tested total fame, while Ancient Lands gives a more controlled solo environment and can get even stronger with shrine fame bonuses.
METHODOLOGY
How I Tested These Solo Fame Farms
I tested each activity myself while playing solo. For every completed test, I recorded the fame gained and the time spent in the activity, then converted the result into an hourly rate so the methods were easier to compare.
Timed solo runs
I played each method solo, tracked the fame gained and session length, then normalized the result to fame per hour.
Raw vs total fame
Raw Fame is direct fame from the activity. Total Fame also includes fame books earned from chest rewards during the test.
Silver is rated by potential
I tracked silver during the runs, but I use a qualitative rating because chest RNG and PvP results can change heavily between sessions.
FINAL RANKING
Solo Fame Farming Tier List
This ranking is not based only on the biggest fame number. I also considered how easy the content is to access, PvP interruptions, group threats, safety, repeatability and silver potential.

SAFE FAME FARMING
Safe Content With an Awakened PvE Fame Weapon
The Depths and Hunter Corrupted Dungeons let you keep the gear you are wearing. In the Depths, that makes an expensive Awakened Weapon with a PvE fame bonus much easier to justify. Awakened bonuses do not work in Hunter Corrupted Dungeons.

DETAILED BREAKDOWN
Best Solo Fame Farm Methods Explained
S
LETHAL
Lethal Ancient Lands
2.65M total fame / hourVery High silver potential
For a solo player, this is one of the best options on the list. The mobs gave me around 2.28M raw fame per hour and chest rewards pushed the total to about 2.65M.
The biggest advantage is that Ancient Lands are instanced. You can still meet other players and die, but you do not have the same risk of a roaming group suddenly rolling over you while you farm the Black Zone.
You can also use shrines inside Ancient Lands to get extra fame bonuses, so the result can go higher than my test.
Strong fameInstanced solo environmentStrong loot potential
S
BLACK ZONE
Open World Roaming
3.45M total fame / hourHigh silver potential
This gave me the highest total fame result from the entire test. I mainly cleared camps in Tier 7 Quality 4 maps, but I also delivered crates, completed Hidden Lairs, killed mobs and dealt with other players.
The raw rate was around 2.06M fame per hour. Fame books from camp chests pushed the total much higher.
The downside is exposure. A solo player, duo or full group can interrupt your farm at any time, and your results will depend heavily on map tier, map quality and camp availability.
Highest tested fameLots of activity varietyHigh group gank risk
A
ROADS
Roads of Avalon Green Chests
2.64M fame / hourHigh silver potential
Tier 6 Green Chests in the Roads gave me one of the strongest raw fame rates. Finding Green Chests overall is not difficult, and you can keep moving through the Roads and clear the ones you find along the way.
The real downside is other players. Green Chests can be contested by solos or groups, and dealing with coordinated groups is very hard when you are alone. Knowing how to move around the Roads also makes a big difference.
Excellent raw fameGood chest lootGroups are dangerous
A
MISTS LOOP
Mists + Knightfall Abbey
Mists 2.08M total · Abbey 2.63M/hVery High Abbey loot potential
I look at these as one farming loop. You clear camps and mobs in the Mists while searching for a Knightfall Abbey. The Mists were around 1.04M raw fame per hour and 2.08M total with fame books.
Once inside Knightfall Abbey, my rate was around 2.63M fame per hour. The downside is PvP pressure. A lot of players come here specifically to fight, and high IP players can interrupt your farming very quickly.
Farm while searchingStrong Abbey lootHigh PvP pressure
B
CORRUPTED
Stalker Corrupted Dungeons
2.37M total fame / hourMedium silver potential
The mobs gave me around 1.97M raw fame per hour, and fame books from the chests brought the total to roughly 2.37M.
Stalker is full loot, but you do not have to accept every fight. With a mobile build, you can move around the map and break the crystals if you want to continue farming instead of dealing with the invader.
RepeatableBetter than Hunter rewardsCrystals give an escape option
C
SAFE GEAR
Solo Duo Depths
1.75M fame / hourMedium silver potential
Duo Depths are group content, so you still have to deal with real duo teams even when you enter alone. I was able to reach the third floor and get out successfully. If another duo ends your run earlier, your fame result can be lower.
You can lose items in your inventory if you die, but you keep the gear you are wearing. That makes an Awakened Weapon with PvE fame a useful option. With a 20% PvE fame bonus, my result would be around 2.10M fame per hour.
Equipped gear is safeAwakened weapon optionReal duo teams can interrupt you
C
SAFE
Hunter Corrupted Dungeons
1.36M total fame / hourLow silver potential
Hunter is one of the easiest methods to farm nonstop. If you do not actively look for a match, invasions are rare, and even if another player beats you, you can continue the run afterward.
The rewards are lower, but your gear is safe and the content is extremely repeatable. Awakened Weapon bonuses do not work in Hunter Corrupted Dungeons, so you cannot boost the fame rate this way.
After the solo nerfs, I do not see much reason to choose Trio Depths over Duo. You are doing content designed for three players, and you still have to deal with real trio teams inside.
I reached the third floor and got out successfully. If a trio catches you earlier, your fame can be even lower. Your equipped gear is safe, so a 20% PvE fame Awakened Weapon would push my result to about 1.49M fame per hour.

NOT RECOMMENDED
Solo Dungeons
Not fully testedPoor fame choice
I did not include a full Solo Dungeon test because I do not think they are worth choosing specifically for fame anymore. They are easy and become very safe after the entrance closes, but there are simply much stronger options.
Very chill after the entrance closesMuch weaker for fame
SILVER

This is a practical comparison based on what I saw during the tests. I am intentionally not presenting exact silver per hour because chest loot and PvP results can change a lot between sessions.

Best loot potential
Ancient Lands and Knightfall Abbey stood out the most during my tests.
Best fame and silver mix
Open World, Ancient Lands, Roads and the Mists plus Abbey loop are the strongest overall choices.
Safer option
Duo Depths and Hunter trade reward for safety. Awakened PvE fame bonuses can help in the Depths, but they do not work in Hunter Corrupted Dungeons.
FAQ
Albion Online Solo Fame Farming FAQ
What is the best solo fame farm in Albion Online?
For my testing, Open World Roaming had the highest total fame result, while Lethal Ancient Lands is my other S Tier choice because it is instanced, very solo friendly and can gain extra fame from shrine bonuses.
What had the highest tested fame per hour?
Open World Roaming had the highest tested total at about 3.45 million fame per hour when chest fame books were included. My test was mainly done in Tier 7 Quality 4 Black Zone maps.
What is the best safe solo fame farm?
Solo Duo Depths was my preferred safe option. It gave about 1.75 million fame per hour in my test, and because your equipped gear is safe you can use an Awakened Weapon with a PvE fame bonus.
Are Solo Dungeons good for fame farming?
I do not recommend regular Solo Dungeons if your main goal is fast fame. They are chill and safe after the entrance closes, but there are much stronger solo fame farming options now.
Do fame books count in the total fame numbers?
Yes. The Total Fame column includes the additional fame books I received from chest rewards during the tests. The Raw Fame column shows the direct fame rate before those books.
