The Habonis Alchemy Profit Calculator helps you check whether brewing potions is actually profitable before you buy the ingredients.
It calculates ingredient costs, Resource Return Rate, Focus, city bonuses, station fees, marketplace fees and expected profit using the real recipe and batch size of each potion.
You can also enter your real potion crafting specialization, compare different selling methods and estimate the transport required for the entire alchemy run.
Quick Start: Check Potion Profit in Less Than a Minute
You do not need to understand every option before using the calculator.
For a basic profit check:
- Select your server.
- Choose where you will buy ingredients.
- Choose where you will brew.
- Choose where you will sell the potions.
- Search for the potion you want to make.
- Select the correct potion variant.
- Enter the number of crafts.
- Enter the station Usage Fee.
- Check the calculated Profit and ROI.
That is enough for a basic calculation.
You can worry about Focus, specialization and transport later.
Choose Your Server and Cities
Your alchemy setup has three main locations:
Buy → Brew → Sell
These locations do not need to be the same city.
Buy Ingredients In
This tells the calculator where you plan to purchase your potion ingredients.
Market prices from this city are used when calculating your ingredient costs.
You can buy your ingredients in one city and transport them somewhere else to brew.
Brew In
This is where you will actually craft the potions.
Your brewing city matters because potions have a specialty production bonus in Brecilien.
When Automatic RRR is enabled, the calculator includes the correct city bonus based on where you brew.
Sell Potions In
This tells the calculator where you expect to sell the finished potions.
The market price from this city is used when calculating your revenue.
Your full route could therefore look like:
Buy Ingredients → Transport to Brecilien → Brew Potions → Transport to Selling City
Potion City Bonus
The potion specialty city is Brecilien.
If you select Brecilien as your brewing location, the calculator includes the potion specialty bonus when Automatic RRR is enabled.
If you brew somewhere else, that specialty bonus is not included.
This can significantly affect your effective ingredient cost, especially on large batches.
Search for the Potion You Want to Brew
Use the Potion Recipe search to find the potion you want to calculate.
You can search for potions such as:
- Healing Potions
- Poison Potions
- Resistance Potions
- Invisibility Potions
- Other supported potion recipes
Select a result to load the real recipe from the game data.
Choose the Potion Variant
Once a potion is selected, you can choose between the variants that actually exist for that potion.
The calculator supports real potion variants from:
- .0
- .1
- .2
- .3
Not every potion necessarily has every version.
The calculator only shows variants that exist in the game data.
Changing the variant automatically updates the ingredients, batch size and calculation.
Set the Number of Crafts
The Crafts setting controls how many times you perform the potion recipe.
One craft does not always produce one potion.
Potion recipes can create multiple finished potions per craft.
The calculator uses the real output quantity automatically.
Increasing the number of crafts also updates:
- Required ingredients
- Expected returned ingredients
- Total potion output
- Station fees
- Focus usage
- Total weight
- Profit
Real Potion Batch Sizes Matter
The calculator uses the actual number of finished potions produced by each recipe.
This is important because assuming one potion per craft would make the calculation completely wrong.
Real batch sizes affect:
- Total revenue
- Ingredient cost per potion
- Station fees
- Focus usage
- Profit
- ROI
The total output displayed by the calculator already includes the correct batch size.
Enter the Station Usage Fee
Enter the Station Usage Fee shown by the alchemy station in game.
The calculator expects the fee in silver per 100 nutrition.
This cost is included in your total expense.
Even a profitable potion can become much less attractive when the real station cost is added.
Always use the fee from the station you actually plan to use.
Resource Return Rate
Resource Return Rate, or RRR, determines how much of your eligible ingredients you expect to receive back after brewing.
Returned ingredients reduce your effective ingredient cost.
Your RRR can be affected by:
- Brewing city
- Potion specialty bonus
- Focus
- Daily production bonus
This is one of the most important numbers in the calculation.
Automatic Resource Return Rate
For most players, leave Automatic RRR enabled.
The calculator automatically determines your Resource Return Rate from your current setup.
It also shows the bonuses contributing to the result.
Depending on your setup, you may see:
- Base bonus
- City bonus
- Focus bonus
- Daily bonus
Changing your brewing city or enabling Focus immediately updates the calculation.
Manual Resource Return Rate
You can disable Automatic RRR and enter your own Resource Return Rate.
This is useful if you already know the exact percentage shown in game or want to test a specific scenario.
For normal calculations, Automatic RRR is usually easier.
Returnable and Consumed Ingredients
Not every potion ingredient is treated the same way.
The calculator reads the actual recipe data and separates ingredients into:
- Returnable ingredients
- Consumed ingredients
Only returnable ingredients benefit from Resource Return Rate.
Returnable Ingredients
A returnable ingredient can be partially returned after brewing.
The calculator shows:
- Required quantity
- Expected amount returned
- Effective amount used
The returned amount reduces the effective cost of the recipe.
Consumed Ingredients
Consumed ingredients are always fully used.
Resource Return Rate does not reduce their cost.
The calculator keeps the full required amount in the calculation.
This is important because applying RRR to every potion ingredient would make the estimated profit incorrect.
Arcane Extract
Some potion recipes use Arcane Extract.
The calculator does not assume that Arcane Extract always behaves in one specific way.
Instead, it follows the returnable or consumed rule stored in the actual potion recipe.
If the recipe marks Arcane Extract as returnable, the calculator applies RRR.
If the recipe marks it as consumed, the full amount remains consumed.
This keeps the calculation tied to the real recipe instead of using a guessed rule.
Automatic Daily Production Bonus
Enable Auto Daily Bonus to let the calculator check the current production bonuses for your selected server.
If the selected potion has an active production bonus, it is automatically included in the Resource Return Rate calculation.
This saves you from manually changing the bonus every time you use the tool.
Manual Daily Bonus
If live daily bonus data is unavailable, or if you disable the automatic option, you can select the bonus manually.
Available options include:
- None
- +10%
- +20%
Make sure the selected value matches the bonus active when you actually brew the potions.
Premium
Enable Premium Account Fees if your account has Premium.
This changes the marketplace fee assumptions used by the calculator.
If you do not have Premium, disable it so the result better matches the fees you will actually pay.
Selling Your Potions
Under Selling & Fees, choose how you expect to sell the finished potions.
You can choose between:
- Sell Order
- Instant Sell
Your selection changes the output price used in the calculation.
Sell Order
Choose Sell Order if you plan to list the potions on the marketplace and wait for another player to buy them.
The calculator can include:
- Setup Fee
- Sales Tax
The current lowest sell order is used as the market reference.
Remember that a potion being listed at a certain price does not guarantee your entire batch will sell at that price.
Instant Sell
Choose Instant Sell if you plan to sell directly into an existing buy order.
The calculator then uses the highest available buy order as the output price.
This normally gives you your silver faster, but the price may be lower.
Setup Fee
Enable Setup Fee when you want the relevant sell order setup cost included.
This matters when you plan to list your potions on the marketplace.
Ignoring marketplace fees can make a low margin potion look more profitable than it really is.
Sales Tax
Enable Sales Tax to include the applicable marketplace tax.
For a realistic profit calculation, you normally want the relevant fees included.
Fetch Latest Prices
The calculator loads market observations for:
- Every potion ingredient
- The finished potion
You can click Fetch Latest Prices to refresh the available information.
The prices are taken from your selected ingredient and selling cities.
Check Market Price Freshness
Public Albion market data is not always current.
Each price can be shown as:
- Fresh
- Aging
- Stale
- Missing
The calculator also shows approximately how long ago the market observation was recorded.
A very old ingredient price can make an otherwise good looking potion appear much more profitable than it really is.
Use Manual Prices
You can manually enter a price for every ingredient and the final potion.
A manual value overrides the available public market observation.
This is useful when:
- You checked the current market yourself
- A public price is old
- A public price is missing
- You already bought an ingredient at a known price
- You know the price you expect to sell at
The calculator can only work with the numbers it receives.
Ingredient Cost
The Ingredients section shows the real potion recipe and cost.
For every ingredient, you can see:
- Required quantity
- Expected amount returned
- Effective amount used
- Unit price
- Market freshness
- Whether the ingredient is returnable or consumed
This makes it easier to see which ingredients are responsible for most of the potion's cost.
Gross Ingredient Cost
Gross Ingredient Cost is the value of all ingredients before expected Resource Return Rate is considered.
Think of this as the initial ingredient value required for the full batch.
Expected Returned Value
Expected Returned Value is the estimated silver value of ingredients you expect to receive back.
Only ingredients marked as returnable contribute to this number.
This value reduces your effective ingredient cost.
Effective Ingredient Cost
Your Effective Ingredient Cost is the ingredient cost remaining after expected returned materials are considered.
This is generally a more useful number than simply adding the full cost of every ingredient.
Understanding the Profit Result
The Profit section combines the entire alchemy run.
It can show:
- Output Quantity
- Gross Ingredient Cost
- Expected Returned Value
- Effective Ingredient Cost
- Station Fee
- Recipe Silver Cost when applicable
- Market Fees
- Net Revenue
- Total Expense
- ROI
- Profit Margin
- Focus Spent
- Profit per 10,000 Focus
- Transport Cost
- Profit After Transport
The large number at the top shows the final estimated profit or loss.
Net Revenue
Net Revenue is the value of the finished potions after relevant marketplace fees are deducted.
This is different from simply multiplying the potion count by the market price.
Marketplace fees reduce the amount of silver you actually keep.
Total Expense
Total Expense combines the costs involved in brewing the potions.
This can include:
- Effective ingredient cost
- Station fee
- Fixed recipe silver cost when applicable
The calculator compares this against your net revenue to determine your final profit.
What Does ROI Mean?
ROI means Return on Investment.
Profit tells you how much silver the potion batch is expected to make.
ROI tells you how efficiently your invested silver is being used.
Imagine two potion batches both make 500,000 silver.
One requires 2 million silver.
The other requires 10 million silver.
They make the same total profit, but the first batch produces much more profit relative to the amount invested.
The Simple Rule
Look at both Profit and ROI.
High total profit can still require a huge investment.
High ROI can be efficient while producing very little total silver.
What Does Profit Margin Mean?
Profit Margin compares your profit with the revenue generated by the potions.
It gives you another way to understand how much of the selling value remains as profit.
For basic decisions, Profit and ROI are usually the easiest numbers to start with.
Using Focus
Enable Use Focus if you plan to spend Focus while brewing.
Focus improves your Resource Return Rate.
This reduces your effective ingredient cost and can significantly improve potion profitability.
However, Focus is limited.
A potion becoming profitable with Focus does not automatically mean it is the best use of your Focus.
Alchemy Focus Profile
When Focus is enabled, the calculator lets you enter your real potion crafting specialization.
You can enter:
- Tree Mastery
- This Potion Spec
- Total Tree Specs
These values are used to calculate your Focus Cost Efficiency.
Your specialization changes how much Focus each craft costs.
It does not change the Resource Return Rate provided by Focus.
Tree Mastery
Tree Mastery represents your overall mastery level for potion crafting.
Enter your actual level from the Destiny Board.
This contributes to your Focus Cost Efficiency.
This Potion Spec
This Potion Spec represents your specialization in the exact potion you selected.
Higher specialization in that potion reduces the Focus cost of brewing it.
If you regularly make the same potion, this can significantly improve how many batches you can produce with your Focus.
Total Tree Specs
Total Tree Specs is the sum of your relevant specialization levels across the potion crafting tree.
Your other potion specializations also contribute to your overall Focus Cost Efficiency.
This means leveling multiple potion specializations can improve your Focus efficiency across the tree.
Focus Cost Efficiency
The calculator combines your mastery and specialization levels into Focus Cost Efficiency, or FCE.
Higher FCE means each craft requires less Focus.
The calculator then estimates your:
Focus per Craft
This allows the Focus calculation to better match your actual character.
Save Your Alchemy Specs
Signed in users can save their Alchemy specialization profile.
This means you do not need to enter the same mastery and specialization values every time you return to the calculator.
You can save your Alchemy Specs and apply them again later.
Profit per 10,000 Focus
When Focus is enabled and Automatic RRR is being used, the calculator compares your result with and without Focus.
It calculates the extra profit created by spending Focus.
From this, it can show:
Profit per 10,000 Focus
This is useful when comparing different potion recipes or deciding whether alchemy is a good use of your Focus.
Instead of only asking:
Is this potion profitable with Focus?
You can ask:
How much extra silver is my Focus actually creating?
Transport Planner
Alchemy can involve moving large quantities of herbs and other ingredients.
The Transport Planner estimates the total weight of:
- Ingredients
- Finished potions
It also shows your route:
Ingredient City → Brewing City → Selling City
This gives you a better idea of the transport required before buying everything.
Estimate Transport Trips
Enable Estimate Transport Trips to compare your ingredient weight against your carrying capacity.
You can choose a capacity preset or enter your own carrying capacity.
The calculator can then estimate:
- Total input weight
- Total output weight
- Capacity usage
- Trips required
- Average weight per trip
This becomes more useful as your alchemy batch gets larger.
Add a Transport Cost
You can also enter an optional Cost Per Trip.
The calculator can then include:
- Transport Cost
- Profit After Transport
This makes it easier to see whether transportation changes the profitability of your potion run.
The calculator deliberately does not invent a silver value for:
- Travel time
- Gank risk
- Dangerous routes
- Convenience
Those still need to be judged by you.
Market Data Check
If an ingredient or potion price is old or missing, the calculator creates a Market Data Check.
It can identify situations such as:
- An ingredient price is aging
- An ingredient price is stale
- An ingredient has no available market price
- The potion has no current sell order
- The potion has no buy order when using Instant Sell
Use the manual price fields whenever the public data does not match what you currently see in game.

The calculator works best as a decision making tool, not as an automatic instruction to buy ingredients.
A good workflow is:
- Search for the potion you want to brew.
- Select the correct .0, .1, .2 or .3 variant.
- Choose where you will buy ingredients.
- Choose your brewing city.
- Choose where you will sell the potions.
- Enter the real station Usage Fee.
- Check Profit and ROI.
- Review the important ingredient prices.
- Check the finished potion price.
- Replace old or missing prices with manual values.
- Enable Focus and enter your real Alchemy specs if you plan to use Focus.
- Check Profit per 10,000 Focus.
- Consider the transport required.
- Verify the important numbers in Albion.
- Then decide whether the potion is worth brewing.
