How to play this Druidic Staff build?
Important
This build is designed to be safe, cheap, and forgiving while you are learning the game.
It is better at surviving and defending yourself than chasing players, so focus on taking good fights instead of trying to run everyone down.
Main Abilities
Use as your main damage spell. Ideally, cast it twice, use a few auto attacks to consume the Thorn Charges, then cast it a third time before it goes on cooldown.
If that feels too complicated at first, you can simply cast it three times and then start auto attacking.
Use after slowing the enemy with . The delay makes it easier to dodge, so slowing the target first helps you land the main damage and knock up.
Your E is your main heal. Cast it on yourself after losing some Health instead of waiting until you are almost dead.
Do not double cast it on yourself because the second cast will overwrite the first one and delay your healing.
Passive
Use the first passive for increased Healing Cast.
Try to activate the passive before using your E so the delayed heal benefits from the extra healing.
Off Hand
Use for faster auto attacks and shorter cooldowns.
The attack speed works especially well with Thorn Charges because your auto attacks consume them for extra damage.
Helmet
Use for another defensive layer.
You can use it early in the fight, then try to get another cast when you drop below 40% Health because the shield becomes stronger when you are low.
It also cleanses damage over time effects such as poisons and burns.
Chest
Use in most fights.
It increases your defenses, reflects some incoming damage, and slows enemies that attack you, making it easier to survive and land your own abilities.
Switch to against important buffs such as or , or when the enemy has a that could remove .
Boots
Use any Plate Boots with the second spell for movement speed and a small heal.
Leather Shoes with their second spell are another option if you prefer faster cooldown recovery, but the extra healing from Plate Boots is more forgiving for beginners.
Cape
Use a Regular Cape if you want to keep the build as cheap as possible.
Upgrade to when your budget allows for extra damage from its effect.
Food and Potion
Use for extra maximum Health and lifesteal, giving the build even more sustain.
Use Poison Potions against enemy players. You already have enough damage for regular mobs, so save them for PvP.
Beginner Tips
Keep your set around 4.2 or Tier 6 while you are learning so deaths stay affordable.
Start with a Tier 3 Horse and upgrade to Tier 4 once the rest of your set becomes more valuable.
Focus on Open World farming, solo PvE, and safer PvP fights while you learn how your healing and defensive abilities work.
