Fists of Avalon Build
One of the best Fists of Avalon builds in Albion Online for solo PvE and PvP, with excellent mobility, strong burst damage, and a powerful purge to counter enemy defensive abilities.

How to play this Fists of Avalon build?
have always been a strong solo PvP weapon, but after the recent nerfs to other popular weapons, I think they're in an even better spot right now.
This build gives you great mobility, strong damage, interrupts, and most importantly, a purge to deal with annoying defensive abilities.
I recorded my fights in Ancient Lands, but you can use this build in pretty much any solo content in Albion Online, including Mists and Open World roaming.
The most important thing is knowing when to use your abilities and when to save them. You don't always want to use everything as soon as it's available.
1. Which Abilities Should You Use?
One of the best things about is that you can adjust your abilities depending on what you're fighting.
| Situation | Q Ability | W Ability |
|---|---|---|
| General PvP | ||
| Close Range Brawls | ||
| Against Predictable Burst | / | |
| Clearing Groups of Mobs | ||
| Single Target PvE |
Shockwave
This is what I use most of the time in PvP.
You can hit your opponent from a distance and then use the second part of the ability to dash toward them.
It's really useful for catching people, staying close to mobile builds, and closing the distance without having to waste your E.
Create Opening
Against opponents who want to stand on top of you and trade damage, can be a better option.
It deals quite a bit of damage and reduces your target's resistances, allowing you to deal even more damage with your other abilities.
I also recommend using it against stronger single targets in PvE.
Dragon Leap + Triple Kick
For clearing groups of mobs, I switch to on Q and on W.
Both abilities allow you to deal damage to multiple enemies, making your PvE clearing much faster.
Just remember to switch back to your PvP abilities before engaging another player.
Devastating Combo or Counter?
is my preferred W for most PvP fights. The stun is really useful for controlling your opponent, interrupting abilities, and setting up your damage.
is another strong option against builds with predictable burst damage. If you can time it correctly against their big abilities, you can turn their damage against them.
But be careful. If you mistime , you'll lose one of your most important abilities without getting anything out of it.
2. How to Fight With This Build
There isn't one combo that works against every opponent. You should adjust your approach depending on their abilities.
However, this is how I usually play the build.
| Step | What to Do | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Engage with | Close the distance while keeping your E available |
| 2 | Apply pressure with Q and W | Force your opponent to use defensive abilities |
| 3 | Use | Deal damage and purge their important buffs |
| 4 | Follow up with your remaining damage | Keep the pressure up while they're vulnerable |
| 5 | Use when needed | Avoid damage, waste abilities, or recover cooldowns |
Don't Waste Your E
is one of the biggest reasons why this build is so strong.
Besides dealing damage and providing mobility, it also allows you to purge your opponent's buffs.
Against certain builds, the purge is much more valuable than the damage itself.
For example, if you're fighting a , you can save your E to purge .
The same goes for other builds that rely on purgeable defensive buffs.
Don't just use both parts of your E immediately because they're available. Sometimes waiting a few seconds can make a huge difference.
Use Your Stun to Set Up Damage
allows you to stun your opponent and follow up with more damage.
You can also use it to stop important abilities.
For example, when your opponent is low on health, you can use your E to get close, follow it with your W to stun them, and then finish them off with your remaining damage.
Just pay attention to your opponent's defensives before committing to your combo.
3. How to Use Your Armor Abilities
Your weapon is strong, but your armor abilities are just as important.
| Equipment | Ability | How to Use |
|---|---|---|
| Ranged damage and interrupting important spells | ||
| Avoid damage, reset mobs, and buy time | ||
| Chase enemies, reposition, and reduce cooldowns | ||
| Reduce your potion cooldown for additional sustain |
Cowl of Purity
I mostly use for additional damage and interrupting important enemy abilities.
For example, against a regular , you can save it to interrupt their E.
Against healers, you can interrupt important healing abilities as well.
Of course, you can use it simply for extra damage when there's nothing important to interrupt.
But try not to waste it right before your opponent uses something dangerous.
Assassin Jacket
gives us quite a bit of flexibility.
You can use it to avoid incoming damage, waste your opponent's abilities, wait for your cooldowns, or simply reposition.
It can also be useful offensively since you gain extra damage while staying invisible.
And in Ancient Lands, you can use it to get rid of mob aggro when you're taking too much damage.
Important: Against opponents with or other reliable ways to reveal invisibility, consider switching to .
Hunter Shoes
gives us movement speed and reduces our cooldowns.
This works really well with because we want to have our abilities available as often as possible.
You can use it to chase someone, create distance when necessary, or get your next combo ready faster.
4. Food and Potions
| Consumable | When to Use | Benefit |
|---|---|---|
| PvE | Extra damage and health regeneration outside combat | |
| PvP | Additional maximum health and healing from damage | |
| PvP | Extra sustain during fights |
For PvE, I prefer because it helps us clear mobs faster while recovering health between fights.
For PvP, I switch to . The additional maximum health and healing based on our damage work really well with this build.
I'm also using Major Healing Potions for extra sustain.
Thanks to our , we can reduce the potion cooldown, which is especially useful in longer fights.
5. PvE Tips
Even though this is mainly a solo PvP build, it's also pretty good for clearing mobs.
For PvE, I recommend the following setup:
| Slot | Ability |
|---|---|
| Q | |
| W | |
| E | |
| Food |
Use and to deal damage to multiple enemies.
Against stronger single targets, switch your Q to .
In Ancient Lands, be careful when fighting multiple mobs. They can deal quite a bit of damage, especially if you get hit by several of them at once.
If you're taking too much damage, you can use to reset their aggro.
And most importantly, don't forget to switch back to your PvP abilities before fighting another player.
6. Final Tips
- Save your purge: Don't waste your E if your opponent has an important defensive buff you might need to remove.
- Pay attention to your positioning: You have plenty of mobility, but that doesn't mean you should use everything immediately.
- Use properly: It's not just an escape ability. You can use it to waste enemy spells and prepare another combo.
- Change your abilities: is great for general PvP, but can be much stronger in certain matchups.
- Watch your opponent's equipment: Knowing which abilities they have available is extremely important, especially when you're playing solo.
Overall, I think are one of the strongest solo PvP weapons right now.
The combination of mobility, damage, interrupts, and a purge gives you plenty of ways to deal with different builds.
It might take some time to get comfortable with all the abilities and knowing when to use them, but once you do, it's an extremely strong build for pretty much any solo content in Albion Online.
