How to play this Great Frost Staff build?
Main Abilities
Use against most melee and mid range players. The slow helps you keep the distance you need while constantly pressuring them.
Against longer range weapons such as Bows or Fire Staffs, switch to the first Q so you can match their range more comfortably.
Use as your W for mobility and crowd control. It gives you a stun, helps create distance, and the brief damage immunity can be timed to avoid heavy hitting abilities.
Your E is your main damage source. It has long range, deals heavy damage, slows the target, and can be cast twice, making it extremely strong for kiting.
Keep track of your passive as well. After casting 4 spells, your next auto attack roots the enemy, giving you another opportunity to create distance or set up your damage.
Helmet
Use for extra ranged damage.
can also interrupt important casts or channels, so try to save it when the enemy has something valuable you can stop.
is a cheaper alternative if you want to lower the build cost.
Chest
Use as one of your main defensive tools.
gives you time to reposition, avoid dangerous abilities, and wait for your cooldowns. Do not use it randomly, save it for moments where the invisibility actually gives you an advantage.
Boots
Use any Leather Shoes with .
The movement speed helps you kite or chase, while the cooldown reduction lets you get and your E back sooner.
Cape
Use for an extra chance to escape when your Health gets low.
For a cheaper setup, use for more damage or for additional defense.
Food and Potion
Use for faster casting and shorter cooldowns.
is another good option if you prefer more damage.
Use Healing Potions for extra sustain during fights.
Main Idea
Always try to keep enough distance that you can hit the enemy while they cannot comfortably hit you.
Keep at least one mobility option available, usually or your boots, instead of using everything at once.
Once you gain the advantage, you can use your remaining mobility to chase and finish the fight.
